Yet another of those crazy, swing-dancing, Ultimate-playing Canales, Thomas is everyone's favourite kid - and not just because he is known to do a great deal of the menial work here at Fat City. An hour before the doors open for the weekly dance, Thomas can be found doing the heavy lifting - dude's work, as Omer calls it - so that all the concession stock is where it needs to be. During the course of the evening, he is always more than willing to take on an extra work shift when the other council members want to go and dance, and the rest of us certainly make use of that willingness, like with Mary-Kate. In between, he continues to be unfailingly encouraging, not above applauding a friend or bringing a lesson to a halt at random just to give a thumbs-up and a big grin. Though he is noticeably gaining skill on the dance floor, he is still very cautious in his dance, and feels much more comfortable just hanging out or roller-blading to work at the grocery store near his home.
