Mary-Kate Goody

Councilor/Volunteer

Mary-Kate is just about the sweetest person you will ever meet. Really. She hasn't a negative word to speak of anyone, except perhaps the occasional, "Well, I just think that's rather rude!" This statement of censure, however, is usually muttered half under her breath and followed by an expression so guilty that her confidante must be convinced of her remorse. Whether at the admission table, behind the concession counter, on the dance floor, or out in the real world, Mary-Kate greets friends and strangers with a welcoming smile and an obvious enthusiasm for swing and for life. Though she absolutely loves to get out on the dance floor for some lively Charleston or hasty Lindy Hop, it has always been more about the people for Mary-Kate. Unfortunately, this means that most of the council members have, at one time or another, taken advantage of her willingness to take over the work while we rush out to enjoy a dance or two. It could be that Mary-Kate secretly resents being taken for granted in this way, but due to her inability to speak ill of anyone, none of the perpetrators could ever know.
