Also known as the future Mrs. Sidney Crosby, Caitlin came to Fat City with a large crowd of new dancers but quickly proved to be exceptionally ambitious in her swing dance. A trip to Camp Hollywood in the summer of 2007 helped to build up her confidence with the Lindy Hop, and also gave her the chance to casually drop some significant names at Fat City: "Oh, in our classes with Erik and Sylvia...." Along with swing, Caitlin has two loves in her life: hockey and Ultimate. In hockey, she is content to watch and discuss, and sometimes argue; in Ultimate, she is anything but a spectator. Her obsessions collide on Friday nights when the Canucks play during a dance at Fat City, and she is often drawn toward the radio in the back room to hear how the game is going. However, as soon as DJ Hepcat José gives the cue, "What time is it, Fat City?" - then it is all about the dance as she races out to the floor to join in stomping out the City's favourite swing line dance, gleefully replying, "It's Shim Sham time!" In the end, it seems that swing always wins...at least on Friday nights between nine and eleven-thirty.
