Jakob Knudsen

Councilor/Volunteer

Jakob is all about the music. Rarely seen without his beloved iPod, he has a love for obscure bands and unknown artists. New acquaintances should be warned: if Jakob is presented with any question regarding the music he enjoys, he is liable to launch into an extended monologue reply, and the questioner may be caught up listening for half an hour. Upon completion of his thought-out answer, Jakob will likely offer the questioner one or both of his earphones to have a listen - even if there is a live band playing across the room at that very moment, which frequently occurs at Fat City. Though he opts not to spend as much time on the dance floor as other council members, he is honing his DJing skills and helped out spinning tunes at the high school stage of the 2007 Langley Jazz Festival. He also has a distinct fondness for frequent changes to the style and colour of his hair, whether for his own self-expression or for the sake of getting a reaction none can tell. All in all, though, he is a kind and gentle soul, always willing to make sure his friends are okay and to hear them out if they're not doing so well, all the while keeping on top of his duties at the Fat City concession.
