Many long years ago, a bright-eyed Pakistani boy set out on a search for knowledge and higher education. Miraculously, as the names of renowned cities and schools sailed before his eyes, young Omer Mahmood found his way to the glittering hub of culture and commerce that is Langley, BC. His tentative entrance into Canadian society had him cast as the reserved immigrant kid quietly taking notes in his classes at Trinity Western University, but before long he was throwing huge parties and, of course, learning to swing dance. Fat CitySwing was his baby from the very start, and to this day he invests an almost disturbing amount of time, effort and money into making this place all that it can be. Perhaps one of the truest gourmets to dwell in this fast-food-infested, family-restaurant-oriented chunk of suburbia, Omer spends his days working as a server at a French Bistro. (Rumours have been spread that he makes an ambrosial Crème Brûlée, but these stories are largely held in scepticism due to fact that so few have had to opportunity to sample said dessert.)
