In all truth, Shannon really didn’t enjoy swing dancing the first time she tried it. She avoided it for months afterwards, despite Omer’s repeated attempts to get her to try it again. Thankfully, the bad blood between Shannon and the dance was eventually resolved, and she helped Omer to start up Fat City Swing all those long years ago. At the time, she intended only to help, not to take over, but in time, she was basically running the place. Now, her type A personality and tendency to be almost invariably correct are famous at Fat City. Less famous are her wide range of musical tastes – Hawaiian music, anyone? – and her love for photography. Known as the 'Bubble Buster', she has the unfortunate task of shedding a little reality on many of Omer’s outlandish – albeit creative – ideas. It’s an unpleasant job, but someone has to do it . . . otherwise trademark underwear and a Clothing Optional theme night might have become realities for Fat City.
